Season 2014 has officially started. Following our arrival to Gurna, and two days of arranging papers, we received our permissions and were joined by our inspector from Karnak, Mr. Atef. We could open the tomb on Wednesday and could then start the usual preparatory tasks on site. Today, on the last day before the weekend, we started excavations in the forecourt of TT412, next to TT184. This is a continuation of our last year's work, from which we hope to reveal more details soon.

Our first find of the year was a modern key, which according to Mr. Atef is quite a good sign, as now we just need to find the lock it fits into...
